Description:
Smugglers have been running rampant recenly in Atropos. We screen all the merchants that enter the port, but who would admit they're a smuggler? I think someone from the outside could check them discreetly.
If you ask them questions, they'll get suspicious, so just go look at their ships and come back. You don't have to check all of them. There are three ships from the islands known to be the habitats of endangered animal and plant species. Just check those.

Examining the Ship

Description
Atropos Island is where merchants from all the continents gather. We need help inspecting incoming vessels to prevent the trafficking of endangered wild animals and plants. The merchant community already knows the faces and physical characteristics of all our guildmates.
We need someone they've never seen before. If you're interested, please come to Atropos Island.

Story
Hawk Eye (Points: 10)
Report on Endangered Animal and Plant Trafficking
Recently, the populations of endangered animals have been plummeting, due to indiscriminate poaching. Endangered plants are similarly being indiscriminately collected and spread to other locales, causing disruptions to both ecosystems. These situations are only getting so dire because of greedy poachers and smugglers.

Reasons for Endangered Animal and Plant Trafficking
There are various reasons for the trafficking of endangered animals and plants. Some people want rare fur coats. Some people want rare pets. Some people want to decorate their gardens with rare plants. Most of the reasons are based on people's desires for status and luxury, which makes the trafficking all the more serious an issue.

Solutions for Endangered Animal and Plant Trafficking
It's meaningful that Atropos Island, an agent of intercontinental trading, is inspecting ships for illegal animal and plant trafficking. But it can't be the only place where animals and plants are smuggled in. There have to be long-term solutions to prevent the systematical and customary trafficking of endangered species. But realistically, it's not feasible to prohibit their trading worldwide. So, for now, I commend the staff of Atropos Island for its effort to stop it on its own.
