Description
I had no idea what was going on at the time... I spoke without thinking. But then I saw the look on her face, and all of a sudden, I choked up. I can still remember that empty look in her eyes, like she had lost everything in the world.
After that, as if something had suddenly clicked, I saw her wander off somewhere while mumbling, "I have to go find it." That was the last time I saw her. I never saw her again. Not in Elnead, not anywhere.

Sometimes I would hear them playing and singing in a corner of the village, and their antics would make me laugh aloud. It was one of our few simple pleasures.
It's a shame, that family. I knew the parents well.
