Once there were baths in the eastern part of old Leonhold. The pilgrims, tired after a long journey, rested in spacious, heated halls, admired graceful sculptures and mosaic paintings, rubbed their bodies with oils and held lofty conversations about the providence of God. Now bandits who have not washed for so long that stone dust seems to have eaten into their skin are bawling here..
