Its construction began during the life of Lutheran the First and lasted for several decades. The dam restrains the rapid current of the Rodin River, preventing it from overflowing its banks, and treatment facilities make the water surprisingly clear and even sweetish in taste. They say, however, that the point is not at all in these structures, but in the fact that numerous streams flow into Rodin, originating from the sacred source of khorgabrud, the spirits of water.
