Once you collect the first note, pay attention to the buff you get. It's a timer on how long you can take to collect the rest of the notes. In my case, collecting any other of the 2nd set other than the first one listed here (2 A Knight in Shining Armor #2/3), removed the buff and I could not collect the first note of the second set or the third note.
