Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
Would you be able to/interested in adding a `used for honing` tab on the honing materials similiar to the `used for upgrading ships` tab found on ship materials?
Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
Is it really worth it? There are very few of them and each corresponds to related grade of the gear. Basically, there will be tons of items on each honing material page. I don't see much use for such list.
What're your thoughts behind it?

Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
I looked into is and found something I missed,
The idea was to be able to look up the cost and chances per honing as visible here https://lostarkcodex.com/us/item/113221520/#20
The only time this is not visible currently though is for special honing with fused leap stones to show their cost/success rates

Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
I don't have this particular item. Could you please tell me, if it replaces all required materials including gold and silver or just stones/crystals/shards?
It would be great if you could share a screenshot from the game with special honing stone.
Then I can add that info to the site. Note that those stones don't modify success rate, so I can only add required amount for each honing level.

Sorry for the slow reply, nothing besides the first 100% honing exp and the fused leapstones themselves are used
here is a screenshot https://imgur.com/a/MdZtniw

I also applied to upload the picture here https://lostarkcodex.com/us/item/66103101/
here are also some related links:
https://www.reddit.com/r/lostarkgame/co ... _complete/
https://www.reddit.com/r/lostarkgame/co ... per_level/
some of the numbers in those links dont seem to be accurate for NA though

Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
Thanks for the image! I've added the Special Honing information to the site. Same as for materials, stones per level and totals are shown if appliable.

Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
It looks great, finally we can plan it out without seeing it ingame
total cost might be misleading though due to the success rate and and the average would be varying due to the success rate pity system and optional mats
Showing the max pity bonus, max optional mats, and max optional mat success increase(it can limit lower than the optional mat in some cases) isnt shown on any of the sites I know of though
https://imgur.com/a/l3jzph7
in this image the values mentioned are as follows:
max pity bonus reached, was originally 5% base success is now 10% base and not raising on fail (not to be confused with artisan energy pity system)
max optional purple mat is shown at 6 while blue is 18 and green is 36
max optional mat success increase is shown as Up to 5%, when trying to max out all optional mats it prevents you from adding 1 green or 1 blue as it hits 5% and stops you from wasting
Im not sure if this is something you wanted to look at, im just listing stuff I wasnt able to directly find online when looking at this

Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
Sure, but it at least gives you an estimation of minimum required materials for the honing to certain level.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 12:09 amIt looks great, finally we can plan it out without seeing it ingame![]()

Could you please explain, what do you mean by "pity bonus"?Showing the max pity bonus, max optional mats, and max optional mat success increase(it can limit lower than the optional mat in some cases) isnt shown on any of the sites I know of though

I've thought about adding this as well, but came to the conclusion, that players see this information in the game anyway. Do you think, it's useful?max optional purple mat is shown at 6 while blue is 18 and green is 36

Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
Every time you fail a hone attempt the success rate goes up until it hits a cap, in this case it starts at 5% and goes up .5% every time until it hits 10%. It is different in from artisan energy in that you get more artisan energy based on the success rate of the failed attempt (including mentioned pity and optional honing mats) and artisan energy only serves to give you a 100% chance to succeed after you fail enough
I know the .5% and 10% are not just 10% and 200% of the starting success rate from what is shown on a honing fail screen but not anywhere before, here is a sample of a +8 weapon with a base success of 40% gaining 3% per fail up to 30% additional https://imgur.com/a/XvwCq8P
The only use case is that players cant see how much can be used per attempt unless they have the gear at that level and more than the capped optional mats in their inventory to see where it stopsI've thought about adding this as well, but came to the conclusion, that players see this information in the game anyway. Since players cant see this it means they need additional trips to the store to find out how many they should buy for x amount of attempts
Re: Feature Request: Honing materials 'Used for Honing' tab
Thanks for the explanation. I'll think about the way of adding those as well.
