Island Token can be acquired by picking up Star Fragments from the ground scatter around the island, takes a couple minutes

So I ran few tests.. opened over a hundred blue stars with 0 island tokens.
I think you'll need the purple one for better chance on getting the token.
After around 115 stars a blue one dropped the Token.
